My Way Home

Lyrics
|
Steady as she goes
Even if she goes away
I know more this morning
Than I did yesterday
Trouble comes tomorrow
It will surely stay
But I still find my way home
A dollar in my pocket
I believe it's gonna rain
If I lost everything I have
I still would be the same
My spirit once a candle
Now burning like a flame
And I still find my way home
I always find my way back home
Gather up my horses
Hold the forces at the gate
The promise of another day
Is slowly taking shape
The world is in a hurry
I am glad to wait
And I still find my way home
Steady as she goes
Even if she goes away
I know more this morning
Than I did yesterday
I don't have much of anything
I have a place to stay
And I still find my way home
I always find my way back home

Long Song Description:

Story Behind the Song: Um, happy accident. Most songwriters will tell you, some of the good stuff happens when you are just "noodling about" up and down the neck. Don't remember how I found this but all of a sudden I had a rhythmic finger-style theme that turned into a couple of variations and back to a closing theme.
